Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Atelier is a Chrome extension that replaces your New Tab page with a beautiful, artistic workspace inspired by Van Gogh's The Starry Night. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data Atelier accesses and how it is used.

Data We Collect

Atelier does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics.

Local Storage

All data you create within Atelier — including your tasks, bookmarks, and settings — is stored exclusively on your own device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device and is never accessible to us.

Third-Party Services

Atelier makes limited requests to third-party services for display purposes only:

Google Favicon Service — When you add a bookmark, Atelier fetches a small icon image from Google's public favicon service (google.com/s2/favicons) using only the website's domain name. No personal data is included in this request.

Google Fonts — Atelier loads the Libre Baskerville and Caveat typefaces from Google Fonts for display purposes. This is a standard web font request and does not include any user data.

Permissions

Atelier requests the following Chrome permissions:

storage — To save your tasks, bookmarks, and settings locally on your device.

notifications — To display a browser notification when your Pomodoro session completes. This feature can be disabled in Settings.

Children's Privacy

Atelier does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
